Did you know that storing bread in plastic actually encourages mould growth? This is because moisture from the loaf is unable to escape. Instead, bread is best stored in a bag that stops airflow around the bread, but still allows it to breathe.

This reusable Bread Bag is made from up to 10x recycled plastic drink bottles and is designed to replace single use paper or plastic bread bags.

Most fresh bread purchased at a bakery or made at home is preservative free meaning that your loaf will probably only last 2-3 days stored on your bench top before going stale. To preserve your bread for longer it is best to freeze the loaf when it is cool but fresh.
Ideally, fresh bread should not be stored in the fridge as the moist environment can cause bacteria to form along the surface of the bread, forming mold.
